2011 BMW 5-Series Wins Top Safety Award

The 2011 5-Series has been picked as the top safety pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The 5-Series isn’t alone here, the 2009 BMW 3-Series also made the list along with the x-series crossovers.

Given the increasing number of large cars on the highway, highway safety becomes even more important. While the 5-Series is bigger than the smaller and sporty BMW 1-Series or BMW Z4 it’s still a BMW and is fast, handles well, and now you know – it’s one of the safest cars you can have on the freeway. Way to go BMW!
